I did this as a Christmas gift for a friend who loves orange. (Forgot I had taken pictures of it.) I bought a lidded box at a craft store, covered it in fabric, and added beads and ribbon. The purple frames are painted, with a crackle medium applied. I forget the size--around 11" X 7" X 3" or so.
